Star Light Ball

Last night was the Girl Scout Father/Daughter dance, the Star Light Ball. It's held every-other-year. At noon yesterday I went over to help decorate the hall with some of the other moms. Later I got Abbie ready and we all went to a "Before Party" at the troop leader's house to get pictures of all the girls and the dads. About 17 girls from Abbie's Brownie troop went to the dance, overall there were about 200 Girl Scouts that attended from our town. It's a big thing here. Here are a few pics from last night.

Hershey

We spent two nights in Hershey/Harrisburg last week as part of our vacation. Unfortunately, the weather turned out to be too cold to go into the amusement park for their annual "Springtime In The Park". However, the girls enjoyed Chocolate World.

Indian Echo Caverns

During our vacation, we went to Hummelstown and took a 45-minute guided tour of Indian Echo Caverns.

Strasburg Railroad

We spent two nights in Lancaster last week. Everyone enjoyed taking a train ride at the Strasburg Railroad. Our 45-minute ride took us through beautiful countryside where we saw Amish farmers working in their fields, livestock grazing, and many picturesque farms.
