Christmas Letter 2007

I didn't have time to write an official Christmas Letter to put in my Christmas cards, so I thought I would just put it here! Here's the update on all of us:

Elizabeth -- Liz started Kindergarten this year. She's going 1/2 days, in the afternoon. She loves school. Her teacher, Mrs. Wolfe, is sweet and nurturing. Liz comes home singing songs and always in a good mood. She has grown socially and is starting to read! She took swimming lessons this fall and is currently attending a dance/gymnastics class at The Little Gym. For Christmas she wants anything to do with baby dolls or Polly Pockets. Here's a picture of her talking to Santa about what she wants for Christmas.

Abigail -- Abbie is in 2nd grade. We feel we've really been blessed with excellent teachers so far and this year is no exception. Mrs. Lampman is great! Abbie continues to be very social and is always asking to have friends over. She attended her first sleep-over party this fall. Abbie was on a girls' softball team last spring and is now attending a dance/gymnastics class at The Little Gym. She also started taking piano lessons this fall and loves it! For Christmas she wants a Barbie MP3 player, a rock tumbler, and a CSI fingerprint kit -- she's very scientifically minded, which is thrilling to Scott! :) She also wants anything to do with High School Musical.

Scott -- Scott was promoted this year to Associate Professor at The University of Pennsylvania. He continues to work on research in the Radiology Department. He enjoys riding his bike and has started a woodworking hobby, much to Dianna's delight! He's made beautiful radiator covers for all of our radiators (check out the picture below), an outside table for our deck, and he made his sister a gorgeous book shelf this fall. Scott (with help from Dianna) also put in a paver patio at the bottom of our deck stairs (picture below).

Dianna -- Dianna is busy as a stay-at-home mom. She is co-leader for Abbie's Brownie Troop and hospitality person for the evening PTA meetings. This past year she stripped wallpaper from the girls' bathroom and painted it, painted the guest room, and painted the living room (some pictures of her projects below). She also is working on painting all the radiator covers that Scott has made! Dianna also enjoys gardening (more pics), is in a monthly Book Club and enjoys going out to lunch with friends.

The guest room -- just waiting for you to come visit us!

Gus -- Gus takes great joy in chasing ducks around our pool, hiding under the bed (of course he doesn't fit, so he looks like an ostrich hiding it's head in the sand) when we're looking to take him for a walk, and sneaking onto the bed at night, which he knows is forbidden!
